Lady Yum has been making great macaroons for years and last year, opened a retail store. They sell their specialty macaroons, goods from local artisans and producers, and serve wine and champagne from their space in downtown Kirkland.
Marian Built designed and built the entire space through close collaboration with the client, our designers and crafts people. This is where we first built our Tube & Board shelving unit, which is now available in our store. We absolutely love how it turned out, and we couldn't be luckier to have such a great client to work for.
The first phase of the Brimmer & Heeltap buildout. A close collaboration with Sean from KRFTWRK, we are so happy to have such an impact in such a special place for two very deserving entrepreneurs. Chef Mike has been hailed by every publication imaginable, and Jen is the undisputed queen of hospitality, running the front of the house like the veteran she is. So happy to have been a part of it.
Marian Built was originally hired by the general contractor to do some steel work, hand rails, railings, etc. Having formed a relationship with the owners, we were called back when they needed a major addition. Some larger partition walls inside the open floor to delineate the space, and separate dinners from incoming guests as well as bar patrons. We worked closely with the owners on layout and design and what we came up with not only increased seating, but also maximized privacy and quiet enjoyment of existing tables. We also built a small lit bar sign and and outdoor fire pit with stools. Stop in sometime, its one of our favorites.
We are so happy to have been a part of such an awarded restaurant. We were lucky to build tables, indoor and out, steel work, the huge sign using reclaimed materials, and some other small pieces. Some very talented crafts people did a lot of work on this project, we are honored to have been a part of it.
The Hollywood Tavern was the start of our random top tables. It was so much fun to see so many types of wood and colors go together. We also built the hanging bar shelves.
Designed and built office space for Seattle creative media company. Marian Built salvaged all the materials, designed all features and built all projects.

Private event space in a less than 300 sq. ft. stand alone brick building. The challenge of including a bar, restroom, and several seating areas was met with confidence. Sadly, Moonshine succumbed to the terror of the Ballard condo invasion, and it was torn down in the early part of 2013. Stay tuned for our next event space currently in the works.
This was our first commercial job, and what we feel really was our start in what we do today. Our wonderful client gave us free reign to design all the pieces, as well as the installed components. Sadly, again, the titans of development decided the building was better suited to be destroyed and replaced by a couple hundred of the cheapest apartments money can buy.
